Thanksiversary

I figured that I better blog about the past few weeks before more exciting things happen. We had a fun visit in Burlington to spend Thanksgiving with Anne and Diana. The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to Denver to see my family. It was fun to see everyone.
Ross and Madison built a fort. There really wasn't enough room for me in there. I wasn't too disappointed though.
I made these star ornaments at a Super Saturday. We put Jolly Ranchers in a cookie cutter and then melted them in the oven at 350. I thought that they turned out really cute.
While I was in Denver I got to see Emma. I love this picture of us and I was glad we were able to go to Imperial Garden. It is the best Chinese food ever.
On our way to Burlington we stopped at Riverton and got a taco. Madison enjoyed hers a lot.
A few years ago I gave Diana a Napoleon Dynamite action figure that I received for Christmas or my birthday a few years ago. It is pretty sweet because it says funny phrases and such. Madison loved carrying it around and pressing the button. It was hilarious to me. I also love her adorable pink converse. I found them at Goodwill awhile ago and they finally fit!
Anne had a Jack in the Box for Madison to play with. She loved it. She got to the point where she would just press the button to get it to pop instead of cranking the handle. It was funny.
Madison and Diana in deep conversation. I love this picture.
Madison loves Diana so much. She was always trying to go into her room and follow her. It was cute.
Thanksgiving was our 4 year anniversary. It seems like each anniversary we have been able to celebrate with family and that has been nice. I'm glad that we can do that.
This is a horrible picture of me, but happy thanksiversary to us!
Diana, Ross, Madison and I.
On Thursday, Diana and I went to Walmart in Cody so that I could get some black Friday deals. We were very successful.
On Friday, we all went to Billings to get Christmas shopping done. It was fun. Anne donated two quarters so that Madison could ride this airplane car thing. She sat there for about two seconds before she got scared and started screaming. I was kind of surprised. The girl who didn't even blink in NYC when riding the Subway was scared of the toy at the mall? Crazy but I was glad I got this picture.
I took this picture of Madison before church today. I thought she looked so cute.
This picture shows her hair better. I can't believe how much hair she has and how curly it is.
This is our Christmas tree this year. We got new ornaments last year and I like them a lot better than the red ones we had last year.
We watched a movie in Burlington and Madison started dancing during the credits. I thought that it was adorable.

My 100th Post

When I finished my last post I realized that my next post would be the 100th post on my blog. I felt like that required something funny or exciting, but I have nothing.

This week has been pretty cold. Madison and I have stayed inside as much as we can. Luckily it has been warmer the past few days but it is just the beginning.

Today at church we had the Primary Program. All of the kids ages 3-11 give little talks and sang songs. Since I work withe kids at church I was helping out. It turned out really well.

Since Madison is 18 months old she can go to the nursery at church. Ross and I have been nervous about how she would do. We didn't know what to expect, but today she cried for about 2 minutes and then she settled down and enjoyed playing with the other kids. I was so glad to hear it.

I have a lot of old pictures this week too.

Madison and Ross checking out the candy supply from Halloween.

I watched Stella and Bronson so that Braidy could go to Brad's Halloween party at school. I loved this picture of them.

This was Madison's kitty cat costume. We thought it would be a perfect costume for her since she loves cats. I wish I had a better picture of the tail, but you can kind of see it coming out.

Ross and Madison before trick-or-treating.
This week we went bowling with some friends from Ross' Pharmacy class. I got a 4-bagger in the second game and ended up breaking my high of 161, My new high is 162. I wish I could have broken it by more than one pin, but it was still exciting.
Last year, I was determined to get new stockings for us, but I never did. I decided to get a jump on it this year. I ordered the fabric from Joann's and used a pattern I found on pinterest. I was thrilled with how they turned out.
Madison loaded all her candy into the car. I thought that was pretty cute. This was on one of our cold indoor days.
Tonight we had Phillip and Braidy and our neighbor Vicki over for dinner. It was fun to have the kids play together. Madison, Bronson, Stella and Bradford. I love the look on Brad's face.
Ross tried to get a picture of Stella.
Brad asked Madison to dance. It was hilarious to watch them dance together. I was impressed with Brad's moves and I think this picture captures it perfectly.
 More Madison and Brad dancing.
Ross got a little jealous, but Madison didn't really want to dance with him so he grabbed Stella. She said no at first, but he finally got her out there. I think she had fun.
Madison enjoyed playing Phillip. I thought this picture was pretty cute. I think Brad looks especially funny.

One Month Later...

Diana mentioned to Ross that I hadn't blogged in awhile. She said she had no idea what we were up to because there hadn't been any blog posts.
There is a great reason that there hasn't been any blog posts. Because we have been boring.
Ross is usually studying so we don't really do anything fun anymore. That was slightly dramatic, but yes Ross is studying a lot. Especially this week. He has lots of tests and very busy with school and church things.
Madison enjoys studying with him. Today she has been very upset when Ross leaves because she misses him. It is kind of cute.
Here is the recap of the past few weeks.
Madison loves sitting on the stairs.
I like your shoes, Madison. They look familiar.
Ross and Madison love to play basketball together.
Madison eating a banana. She was glad to have the peel still attached.
Ross was on a trivia bowl team with his cousin Joseph during homecoming week. I guess they won first place, but I accidentally cut that out of the picture.
Madison can climb up onto the kitchen chairs. The one day she climbed up on the chairs and grabbed a muffin then started eating it. I was too impressed to be upset.
Ross and Madison got me some beautiful roses after I had surgery. I love roses. It was nice to have so many flowers around.
I had my gall bladder removed two weeks ago. It wasn't an emergency surgery, but the doctor had time to do the surgery so we decided to go ahead with it. Everything went well and I have been able to recover quickly. I was so grateful that my mom was able to come and help with Madison.
This is pre-surgery, obviously by the smile on my face. I looked very nice in the hair net and hospital gown.
Before my surgery Madison and I went to Colorado because Ross was going to be in Burlington for the weekend. We had frosties with my dad, Melodie and Rachel. Madison loved the frosty.
Madison loves to play the piano and she looks very cute while she is doing it.
This was taken at a volleyball game before my surgery. Madison got a pink pompom there and loved waving it around. She was waving it violently and hitting the girl next to us in the face. It was funny because the girl didn't seem to mind. She was very kind about it.
During one volleyball game we caught a mini volleyball. Madison loves it. It was fun to get it.
I love the smile in this picture. It is so cute.
Madison was combing Ross' hair while I was reading scriptures. She started combing it and then went and got the spray bottle to wet it down.
We went to the Wyoming v. Boise State volleyball game this afternoon. This is my favorite activity. We got these glasses and Madison enjoyed wearing them.
Ross didn't like wearing them but I am glad that I got this picture of him in them.
Today was a busy day. Ross had a Health Fair at school today. Madison and I went to see what it was about. They had a lot of neat information and it was fun to see all the people from his class. We also went to the safe trick-or-treating in downtown Laramie. We stopped by the health fair afterwards to show Ross her cat costume. It was pretty cute.
I haven't caught a great picture of the cat tail yet, but I will on Halloween. I think it was the cutest part. I made Madison that little bag for Halloween. It was a cute fabric and I was excited to sew something.

I guess we have been more exciting than I previously thought.
Madison is also walking a lot now. It has been fun to see her develop that skill.

We have been catching up on real life since we are back in Laramie. I have also been enjoying my new phone. We all caught colds too so we have been recovering from those as well. Here are a pictures of our week.

For Family home evening yesterday we talked about prayer and Madison practiced folding her arms and bowing her head. It was adorable. I was about to cry the whole time.
We went to the Laramie River greenbelt and walked around on the path. We had a lot of fun. I snapped this gem of Ross and Madison. They are adorable.

Phillip watched Madison for us so that we could go on a date to the Wyoming football game. It was wild. We had fun and we only froze a little bit. We were both glad that Cowboys won! We also went to a volleyball game with Madison and she loved it. It is fun to watch her watch sports. She follows them really well.

Madison was climbing up the slide at the park. She has always been a good climber. Phillip, Ross and I were impressed at how far she could get up there.
We went to watch some of the kids from church play football. Madison just kept clapping and watching. It was fun to watch them play. I think that will be the warmest game of the season.

Ross was thrilled to see that America's funniest home videos was on Netflix. He loves that show and so does Madison. She just sat there and watched it. She didn't like the section when the babies tried new foods and made funny faces.
Ross was so happy that Madison loved it.
 Madison lifting weights.
The other day Madison and I made a fort and watched a movie. My fort was pretty bad, but she liked crawling under it and playing. I enjoyed watching Frozen while she played.
